Description
I was inspired to build this simple match tracker system for the game Overwatch in late 2023. I enjoyed playing the Overwatch 2 ranked modes, but it was difficult to get insight into what maps or heroes you may need to improve on.
I planned to make a match tracker that would capture your performance per map, hero, and group size. Unfortunately, Overwatch lacks a public API and manually tracking your data is necessary.
I decided to hone my frontend skills by tackling this project and embracing an React frontend. The backend API uses Laravel and PostgreSQL. My intention is to eventually migrate the frontend to Next.js.
